Where Valor Rests

A very special tribute

Showing great courage in the face of battle is a call to duty that has never come or ever been sought by me. Those not so simple facts have never kept me from honoring the men and women that have and those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, our country honors the brave that have fought to create and preserve our cherished freedoms.

Dave Black's light painting of the cemetery on Independence Day

The book Where Valor Rests captured the beauty of our country’s most revered memorial, Arlington National Cemetery. The images created by a talented group of photographers, published by the National Geographic Society and directed by Rich Clarkson stirs the heart and soul beyond imagination. Here are a few images from the cherished book presented to every family that has a family member laid to rest in this hallowed ground. Thank you to all.

I love Dave’s work. And he’s a great guy to boot. He’s inspired me to do some light painting.
