I love taking photographs and telling stories. For reasons that often baffle me, people seem to enjoy both. My hope is to have fun with this blog. Expectations are that no one outside of family and a few friends will ever look twice at this site. Thus, I can just ramble on and keep posting photographs from the travels of life shared with my wife, Laura.
For 43 of my 61 years, I have been a professional photographer. For 27 years newspaper photojournalism was my calling with two stints at the Topeka Capital-Journal and four years at the Arizona Republic in Phoenix. Kansas Athletics at the University of Kansas has been my working home since 1997. For all KU fans, you will be disappointed if you think this blog will brim with inside information or photographs from my work. I will share with you my fascinating life at KU in words and pictures. However, I will never betray the trust so many place in me. To do so would compromise my journalistic upbringing and the access that allows me to do my job well.
To view KU photographs, please go to the Kansas Athletics web site often. You’ll find that site linked on this blog.
What you’ll find here are really nothing more than snapshots of our travels, our fun-filled life and the stories that go along with them. We try to live an interesting and very full life. The hope is you’ll get a sense of that. I assure you that my strong opinions on everything will permeate all.
Jeff,
I think it is really cool you are doing this!
Take care,
Beth
