When I was young, a popular singer for the parents of the day was Pat Boone. Besides his crooning, he wrote the book Twixt Twelve and Twenty in which he shared his thoughts for teenagers. Very popular with parents. I can’t remember whether mine read it or not. But, let me tell you, Pat, that I am through talking to my teenagers.
And, that is because today Kelly turned 20. A teenager no longer, she is now a young woman. Happy Birthday, Kelly.
I have no claim on being some sort of outstanding parent. There were some tough times in both my daughters teen years, but we worked together and with the Lord’s help, I am the proud father of two loving, fascinating and very different daughters that have wonderful lives and futures. Laura, also, has had a monstrous role in each of the girl’s growth and development. I couldn’t be happier, and I thank our Savior for that.
Happy birthday, Kelly. Both Laura and I love you and Julie very much.

Thanks for all of your guidance as I continue to grow up. I am thankful everyday for the influence you’ve had on my life. I am so proud to say that I am “truly my father’s daughter.”
